Ultimate Nordic AS acquires majority shareholding in Brusletto & Co AS (from now on referred to as Brusletto) regarding the acquisition of the majority shares in the company. The acquisition is comprised of the share majority, and thus total control, over the operating company, the brand, the production at Geilo and the employees. The property company Brusletto Eiendom Geilo AS is not included in the acquisition.
Brusletto has since the beginning in 1896 been a leading brand for knives in Norway, with their own production at Geilo.
Brusletto has, besides the production at Geilo, also an outlet that Ultimate Nordic wants to develop further.
Ultimate Nordic has ambitions to further develop Brusletto as a strong brand with Norwegian traditions. The knives made at the Geilo factory will continue to form the basis for this in the future. Ultimate Nordic sees a significant value in Brusletto as a brand, and is looking into ways to utilize this in other naturally associated product categories in the future.
Brusletto will remain a manufacturing and product development company. Ultimate Nordic will distribute Brusletto’s products, like any other brand that Ultimate Nordic is the distributor of. Brusletto will have its own team of product developers etc.
Ultimate Nordic’s ambition is that Brusletto products will be distributed to multiple countries in the future. Ultimate Nordic has their own product distribution in Sweden where Brusletto also will be included as one of their central brands.
The Brusletto products, as a product group, will be added to one of Ultimate Nordic’s category/sales managers, equal to other brands. The Brusletto products will be added to Ultimate Nordic’s warehoouse in Åndalsnes, and the distribution will happen from Åndalsnes.
The formal legal takeover takes place 1.1. 2019, but we will start the process of having this implemented into our portfolio immediately.
